Team Aon Aiming For Scottish Success
Dunfermline, Scotland — Team Aon heads to the spectacular Knockhill circuit near Dunfermline for the next instalment of the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, the only trip north of the border in the series.
The Scottish track is famous for producing spectacular racing whenever the British Touring Car Championship is in town, thanks to the short, undulating track where the weather invariably plays its part.
Last time out at Silverstone, Team Aon had a superb weekend securing pole position, all three race victories and the fastest lap in every race thanks to the team’s two young drivers; Tom Chilton and Tom Onslow-Cole. This was despite the team having yet further restrictions placed on the performance of the Littlehampton based squad’s two Calor Gas powered Ford Focus cars following Saturday’s qualifying where the team had secured their fifth pole position of the season.
Team Aon heads to Knockhill with some optimism following such a strong Silverstone weekend, although Knockhill represents a very different challenge to that of the Northamptonshire circuit. Both drivers however believe the team’s recent progress in handling performance would allow them to continue to secure some strong results and further their progress in the championship standings.
